For the first time ever, Australia's female football team the Matildas have sold out a stand alone game, with tickets to their friendly against Brazil in Penrith selling out nearly two weeks before their September 16 clash.

An impressive 17,000 tickets have been sold for the match with the Matildas in red-hot form after taking out the inaugural Tournament on Nations in July.
On their way to lifting that trophy, the Matildas handed Brazil a 6-1 defeat while also beating world number one and World Cup holders the USA.
As a result of those remarkable results, the team has risen to sixth in the world and will look to close in on the top five when they host Brazil in two friendlies later this month.
While their first game with Brazil at Pepper Stadium is already sold out, tickets for their game in Newcastle on September 19 are still available.

The two matches are a golden chance to catch Matildas attacker Sam Kerr in action, with the former Perth Glory player one of ten nominees for FIFA Women's Player of the Year and would be the first Aussie of any gender to take out such an award.
