Australian tennis player John Millman has hit out at the idea of coaching from the stands being trialled outside the main draw at the US Open.

It has been claimed the United States Tennis Association want, among other innovations, to test the presence of a visible shot clock on court during qualifying, juniors, wheelchair and legends matches during the final grand slam of the year at Flushing Meadows.
Coaches may also be able to instruct players from the stands during matches, should the rumoured changes come about.
Millman, who lost in straight sets to Rafael Nadal at Wimbledon this week, is not impressed by that particular suggestion, which he believes would favour players with more resources at their disposal.
Coaching from stands allowed at US Open? Rubbish! How about those that can't afford a travelling coach? Widens gap even more. #topheavy
