With many fearing the worst ahead of a looming Origin series, St George have confirmed that after meeting with a specialist on Sunday their player will be on the sidelines for only three weeks.
The news is particularly positive for the Dragons who with a bye in Round 12 will be without Dugan for just two games.
While good news for Dugan, the prognosis does mean he'll more than likely miss Game One of Origin given he wouldn't have played a game for nearly a month before it kicks off on May 31.
