The Asian Football Confederation has handed Brisbane Roar a $13,424 fine for failing to meet the food requirements of six match officials during their April ACL clash against Japanese side Kashima Antlers.

According to AFC rules, a home side in the competition is expected to provide three 'international buffet style' meals at their own expense for the five referees and match commissioner on match day with the Roar apparently failing to meet these standards.
To rub salt into the wounds, Brisbane were fined a further $4027 for allowing two photographers onto the field of play during the game without the AFC's permission.
The combined fines of $17,451 somehow out strip the $13,424 fine which was handed to Thai side Muangthong United whose faulty goalposts left Roar keeper Jamie Young requiring several stitches during another match in April.
Brisbane ultimately finished bottom of Group E in this season's ACL, winning just one game.
