City were trailing 2-1 when the ball boy decided not to give the ball to Simphiwe Hlongwane for a throw-in.
The City left-back had to use a little bit of force to take the ball away, and emotions got better of the visitors as they lashed out at the boy even after he was dealt with by the referee.
City coach Bernard Molekwa and striker Rodney Ramagalela had a go at the young man as he was making his way into the tunnel after being sent off.
Both benches nearly exchanged punches as Chiefs players tried to intervene and protect their own ball boy.

This is the second time a Chiefs ball boy finds himself on the receiving end of a red card.
In 2016, a different ball boy mistakenly threw the ball onto the pitch thinking that the match ball had gone out of play. He also given his marching orders.
Could this be a tactic used by Amakhosi to waste time?

MOLEKWA: "The ball boy? It's a matter of emotions. When you are trailing you expect the boy to throw the ball, could have given the ball to our player. @KaizerChiefs ball boys know what to do"
