Fremantle Dockers defender Ryan Nyhuis has been suspended for three weeks for his ugly hit on Port Adelaide's Robbie Gray, while Bryce Gibbs has escaped punishment for rough conduct on Joel Selwood.
Gray lay motionless on the field after being slammed into the turf as Port played the Dockers on the weekend.
He was eventually stretchered off as Nyhuis was charged with rough conduct and referred straight to the tribunal.
The 21-year-old Nyhuis pleaded guilty and the panel took just two minutes to deliver their verdict.

“The fact that in this particular case, there looked to be more than one action, and the fact that he drove Gray into the ground in a vulnerable position with excessive force ... it’s pretty conclusive that it did sit quite comfortably within the dangerous tackle guidelines,” match review officer Michael Christian said, per Fox Sports.
Nyhuis will miss this weekend's match against Essendon, who sit one place and four points above the Dockers on the ladder in 12th. The youngster will also be absent for round 19's home match against 10th placed Hawthorn and the round 20 derby against the Eagles.
"It was not my intention to hurt Robbie, and I made sure I went and apologised to him post-game and sincerely made sure he was OK," Nyhuis said after the hearing.
"I want to thank my counsel and the Fremantle Football Club for their support and look forward to finishing the year strongly."
Bryce Gibbs escapes punishment
Adelaide Crows midfielder Bryce Gibbs was found not guilty of rough conduct on Geelong's Joel Selwood.
Gibbs successfully argued that the contact he made did not consitute "rough conduct" and that he was merely bracing for an inevitable impact.
The 29-year-old's lawyer argued that Selwood ducked into the hit, making it seem worse than it was.
In his first season at Adelaide since Gibbs moved from Calrton, the Crows are currently in 12th position, four points behind the eighth placed Cats.
Adelaide travel to Brisbane to play the 16th placed Lions this weekend.
