Francis Molo has been referred to Queensland Rugby League's (QRL) Judiciary over a tackle in which James Ackerman was fatally injured.
Sunshine Coast Falcons player Ackerman died after sustaining a head injury during a Queensland Cup rugby league match against Norths Devils at Bishop Park.
Ackerman was knocked unconscious during the tackle and received lengthy treatment on the field, before passing away in hospital.
A QRL statement read: "The QRL Match Review Committee followed its standard weekly process last night by reviewing the weekend's Intrust Super Cup matches.
"An incident involving Norths Devils player Francis Molo has been referred to the judiciary at a date to be confirmed."
