We're on to Week 15 of the fantasy football season. No matter what type of league you're in, the fantasy playoffs are now definitely underway. We're in crunch time, and that means that every start/sit decision carries extra value. And at a super deep position like quarterback, it can be hard to sort through exactly which passer to choose thanks to a variety of factors. That's what our Week 15 fantasy QB rankings are here to help with.
This week, a particularly difficult choice will be facing fantasy owners regarding several veteran options. Guys like Matt Ryan and Matthew Stafford, a couple of passers who were considered top-10 guys at the beginning of the season, have regressed badly in recent weeks. And now, owners that have them will have to make decisions on whether o start them or to rely on some of the young guns that have been stepping it up as of late. It's always tough to trust a streamer, but these guys may be too good to pass on.
Week 15 Rankings:
Running Back | Wide Receiver | Tight End | D/ST | Kicker
Notably, Lamar Jackson (vs. Buccaneers) and Josh Allen (vs. Lions) have two great, home matchups on tap for this week. Both players have excelled as scramblers in recent weeks (Allen, in particular, has been excellent in that category) so that makes both high-floor, high-ceiling options. Sure, it's hard to recommend using a couple of mistake-prone rookies over a proven guy like Ryan, but the fact is they have higher floors.
For those that survived Jared Goff's awful Sunday night game against the Bears, here's a word to the wise: Don't bench him for an inferior option this week. The Eagles defense just allowed Dak Prescott and Amari Cooper to go wild in the second half. Goff should be able to do much more with his arsenal of weapons, so even if you're worried after the negative-point dud he put up against the Bears, feel free to trust him against a weaker defense.
Note: We'll adjust these rankings throughout week, so check back often for the latest player movement updates and player analysis.
WEEK 15 PPR RANKINGS: Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end
Week 15 Fantasy Football Rankings: QBs
These rankings are for standard leagues with 6-point passing TDs.
1 | Patrick Mahomes II, Chiefs vs. Chargers |
2 | Philip Rivers, Chargers @ Chiefs. For the first time all season in Week 14, Rivers didn't post multiple TDs. It was surprising -- given his matchup with the weak Bengals defense -- but he should be in position to bounce back against the Chiefs. This game should be a shootout, so Rivers could have a chance to repeat his Week 1 numbers against Kansas City (424 yards, three TDs, one pick). |
3 | Drew Brees, Saints @ Panthers |
4 | Russell Wilson, Seahawks @ 49ers |
5 | Cam Newton, Panthers vs. Saints |

6 | Jared Goff, Rams vs. Eagles. Don't be scared off by his negative-point dud against the Bears. Chicago has a great defense. Meanwhile, Philadelphia's secondary is in shambles and has allowed three 23.7-plus points QBs in the past five games. And the two that they didn't were against Eli Manning and Mark Sanchez. Goff and his offensive weaponry should easily dismantle the Eagles at home as they look to get back on track on Sunday night. |
7 | Tom Brady, Patriots @ Steelers. Brady had his best performance since Week 7 last week against the Dolphins. He logged a season-high 358 yards through the air and added three TDs. The Steelers defense is bottom 10 in fantasy points allowed to QBs and has given up just over 25 fantasy points per game in its past two outings. That, coupled with Brady's history of success against the Steelers, makes him a top target for Week 15. |
8 | Andrew Luck, Colts vs. Cowboys |
9 | Ben Roethlisberger, Steelers vs. Patriots. Roethlisberger is dealing with a rib injury that caused him to miss some time against the Raiders last week. That said, he should be healthy enough to play against the Patriots. The Patriots give up the 12th-most fantasy points to QBs and just allowed Ryan Tannehill to drop almost 30 on them last week. Roethlisberger should be throwing plenty, so there's a good chance that he ends up logging a couple of TDs and breaking 281 passing yards (which he has done in each of his past five regular season games against the Patriots, dating back to 2010). |
10 | Aaron Rodgers, Packers @ Bears |
WEEK 15 DFS GPP LINEUPS: Yahoo | DraftKings | FanDuel | |
11 | Carson Wentz, Eagles @ Rams. Wentz finally sprung back to life in the second half against the Cowboys and posted his best outing since October. He had three TDs and managed 228 yards through they air against a tough Cowboys defense. Wentz will get another test against the Rams on Sunday, as he will have to take on a defense that has limited Matthew Stafford and Mitchell Trubisky to fewer than 12 points each in consecutive weeks. Wentz can still be started, but he's not the sure-fire, matchup-proof success that he was last season. |
12 | Deshaun Watson, Texans @ Jets. Remember when Watson was "back" after throwing five TDs against the Dolphins? Well, that was five weeks ago. In five games since that time, Watson has recorded multiple TDs just twice. That said, a matchup with the Jets, who have struggled mightily against mobile QBs this year, could spark Watson as a back-end QB1. If he can run for 40-plus yards and get multiple TDs, he may end up outplaying this spot in our rankings. |
13 | Kirk Cousins, Vikings vs. Dolphins. Since their Week 11 bye, the Dolphins have struggled badly against QBs, allowing at least 28.63 fantasy points to the three starters they have faced. Cousins has been up-and-down this season, but he should be in position to take advantage of the Dolphins' weakness. And if star corner Xavien Howard misses another game, Cousins could really be in for a field day. |
14 | Lamar Jackson, Ravens vs. Buccaneers. In four starts this year, Jackson has at least 71 rushing yards in every contest. He also had his first multi-passing-TD game last week against the Chiefs. Provided that he can return from an ankle injury that sidelined him on the last drive against the Chiefs, Jackson should be a great streaming option against a Buccaneers defense that has allowed the third-most fantasy points to QBs. They have been better in recent weeks, but Jackson is a high-floor play because of his scrambling ability. |
15 | Josh Allen, Bills vs. Lions. Much like Lamar Jackson, Allen has a high floor because of his scrambling ability. In his last three outings, Allen has posted at least 99 rushing yards. That's unheard of for a quarterback. The Lions have allowed big passing performances to dual-threat QBs Mitchell Trubisky and Cam Newton, so Allen has upside in that area if the Lions sell out and try to stop him from scrambling. Either way, expect him to keep producing at a solid level. |

16 | Derek Carr, Raiders @ Bengals. In recent weeks, Carr has played better against weaker secondaries. He has thrown for 607 yards and five TDs in the past two games (KC, PIT), and he should have a chance to continue his success against the Bengals, who give up the most fantasy points to QBs. |
17 | Mitchell Trubisky, Bears vs. Packers. Trubisky has struggled in recent weeks, throwing five picks compared to two TDs, but playing against the Packers should give him a chance to get back on track. The Packers have given up at least 21.6 fantasy points to QBs in three of the past four weeks. That, coupled with Trubisky's rushing potential, makes him a potential streamer this week. |
18 | Matt Ryan, Falcons vs. Cardinals. The Cardinals have been quietly excellent against QBs this year, and they are third best in terms of fantasy points allowed to the position. Ryan has been inconsistent this year, and this game may be one that ends up better for Atlanta's running game than Ryan. If he can't get at least two TDs, Ryan won't do too much. |
19 | Baker Mayfield, Browns @ Broncos. Denver isn't an easy place for rookies to play, and Mayfield has only thrown one TD in each of the last two games. The Broncos have a solid defense, too, so that could limit Mayfield as well. Either way, he's not one of the better streamers this week. |
20 | Dak Prescott, Cowboys @ Colts. Prescott had his first three-TD game of the year last week against the Eagles, and he also eclipsed 450 yards. The Cowboys seem likely to have a more balanced game plan against the Colts, who have only allowed two multi-TD games to QBs in their last four outings. |
21 | Jameis Winston, Buccaneers @ Ravens. The Ravens just limited Patrick Mahomes to under 25 points in an overtime game. Winston will also be limited by one of the league's stronger defenses. |
22 | Ryan Tannehill, Dolphins @ Vikings |
23 | Case Keenum, Broncos vs. Browns |
24 | Marcus Mariota, Titans @ Giants |
25 | Matthew Stafford, Lions @ Bills. Stafford is no longer anywhere near starter territory, as he has only logged multiple TDs once since Week 9. |
26 | Jeff Driskel, Bengals vs. Raiders |
27 | Josh Rosen, Cardinals @ Falcons |
28 | Eli Manning, Giants vs. Titans |
29 | Sam Darnold, Jets vs. Texans |
30 | Nick Mullens, 49ers vs. Seahawks |
31 | Cody Kessler, Jaguars vs. Redskins |
32 | Josh Johnson, Redskins @ Jaguars. Josh Johnson is better than Mark Sanchez. That is not saying much. His scrambling ability could give him a shred of fantasy value, but the Redskins are too banged up to trust anyone on that offense -- especially not their fourth-string QB. |
