Todd Gurley and Kareem Hunt owners are undoubtedly happy to have their stars back, and the return of those two players gives the top tier of running backs extra depth. Of course, the loss of Melvin Gordon to what appears to be a multi-week knee injury could have a big-time negative impact on the chances of some owners' ability to make the fantasy playoffs. Thankfully, there is enough depth in our Week 13 fantasy RB rankings to find some potential-packed RB2s and sleepers who can be added from the waiver wire and started immediately.
Josh Adams (Eagles) and Justin Jackson (Chargers) stand out as RBs that may be available in some leagues that could have bigger roles for their teams moving forward. If you can get your hands on one of them, you may find a solid FLEX play at the very least, though touches could prove to be an issue for Jackson depending on how he splits carries with Austin Ekeler.
Week 13 Rankings:
Quarterback | Wide Receiver | Tight End | D/ST | Kicker
Another thing to watch this week will be the status of Lions RB Kerryon Johnson. He missed the team's Thanksgiving game with a knee injury, and his absence opened things up for LeGarrette Blount and Theo Riddick to produce at a solid clip. We currently have Johnson ranked, but we will be updating these throughout the week if his injury status changes.
Note: These rankings will be updated during the week, so check back often for the latest analysis and player movement.
WEEK 13 PPR RANKINGS: Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end
Week 13 Fantasy Rankings: RB
These rankings are for standard, non-PPR leagues
1 | Todd Gurley, Rams @ Lions |
2 | Kareem Hunt, Chiefs @ Raiders |
3 | Christian McCaffrey, Panthers @ Buccaneers. Last time McCaffrey took on the Buccaneers, he totaled 157 scrimmage yards and scored twice. The Bucs defense has allowed at least 140 scrimmage yards to both Matt Breida and Saquon Barkley in the past two games, and McCaffrey should have similar success in a solid matchup. |
4 | Phillip Lindsay, Broncos @ Bengals. Lindsay doesn't appear to be hitting a rookie wall. In fact, he has averaged over 7.0 yards per carry in each of his past two outings and has scored three times in that span. He will get a chance to tear apart a reeling Bengals defense that has allowed the most fantasy points to RBs and four backs to total 19.5-plus points in its past three games. |
5 | Leonard Fournette, Jaguars vs. Colts |
6 | Aaron Jones, Packers vs. Cardinals. Jones has scored and had at least 93 scrimmage yards in his past three games. The Cardinals have been poor against the run all season, and they were gashed by the Chargers last week to the tune of 178 yards and three scores on the ground last week. The Packers should look to exploit this weakness in a must-win battle for them, so Jones has a high ceiling in Week 13. |
7 | David Johnson, Cardinals @ Packers |
8 | Saquon Barkley, Giants vs. Bears |

9 | Ezekiel Elliott, Cowboys vs. Saints |
10 | Alvin Kamara, Saints @ Cowboys |
11 | Joe Mixon, Bengals vs. Broncos. Despite the Bengals' bad loss to the Browns last week, Mixon was still heavily involved in the game plan and totaled 155 scrimmage yards. The Broncos have been better against RBs in recent weeks, but they have allowed 181 receiving yards to the position in their past two games. Mixon has been solid as a receiver in recent weeks, so he can be trusted as a low-end RB1. |
12 | Nick Chubb, Browns @ Texans. Since taking over as the starter in Cleveland, Chubb has averaged about 23 touches per game and in each of his last two outings, he has a rushing and receiving TD. The Texans have given up the 12th-fewest fantasy points to RBs prior to their Week 12 matchup with the Titans, but Chubb is good enough to do damage and serve as a scoring threat. If the Browns get down by the goal line, he will certainly have his opportunity to score. |
13 | James Conner, Steelers vs. Chargers |
14 | Matt Breida, 49ers @ Seahawks |
15 | LeSean McCoy, Bills @ Dolphins |
