Australia have wrapped up their fourth World Cup T20 crown, cruising past England in the final at Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Ground in Antigua on Sunday.

Ellyse Perry became the second woman to reach an incredible 100 wickets milestone in T20 internationals as Australia dismantled England's batting line-up.

Perry's historic scalp wasn't without controversy though, with England's Nat Sciver (1) immediately reviewing the LBW decision as there appeared to be a spike on the Snickometer.

But luck finally went the way of the Australians after a horror day in the field that saw a comedy of errors and blundered opportunities, as Sciver was forced to walk.

England's highest run-scorer, Danni Wyatt (43), was dropped on three ocassions, while Australian superstar Alyssa Healy had a day to forget, dropping a simple catch and blowing a run-out opportunity.

Still, Australia managed to kept England well within their reach at a modest 105-run total with only two batswoman hitting more than six runs.

Healy made amends in the batting department to cap off a standout tournament, setting the champions off to an encouraging start with a respectable 22, while opening partner Beth Mooney contributed 14 more.

After Mooney fell, Meg Lanning (28) Ashleigh Gardner (33) managed to finish the job themselves with an unbreakable (runs) partnership, chasing down England's total with 4.5 overs to spare.

Skipper Lanning fittingly hit the winning runs as her teammates stormed the field in celebration.

It's the third time Australia have got the better of England in the final, previously lifting the trophy in 2012 and 2014.

Australia also won the second edition of the tournament in 2010 against New Zealand, as well as finishing runners-up to West Indies in 2016.
