The ICC Men's T20 World Cup is all set to return for its ninth edition in 2024. Ever since its inception in 2007, the shortest format of international cricket has grown and grown across the globe, and this edition is set to be the first one with 20 teams in it.

The first edition of the global event was won by India, as their young squad led by MS Dhoni defeated arch-rivals Pakistan in the final, also taking down the likes of England and Australia on the way.

This year, the tournament will take place in the West Indies and USA. It is the second time after 2010 that the Caribbean Islands will play host to the World T20 while the USA will host a major ICC event for the very first time.
