In what is the pinnacle of world cricket – the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 is set to begin in early October.

After what was an entertainment filled 2019 World Cup held in England, the tournament will be hosted in India for the first time since 2011.

It was that 2011 World Cup where India lifted the trophy, their first tournament victory since 1983.

The World Cup will commence on October 5 with a rematch of the blockbuster 2019 final between the current championship holders, England, and runners up, New Zealand.

Australia will begin their World Cup campaign against the host nation India on the 8th of October as both sides will be looking to improve upon their semi-final exits in 2019.
