In his time, Matthew Hayden was a fearsome opening batter. A towering presence both literally and metaphorically, the Aussie giant remains one of the country's greatest batters across all formats of the game.

In 2008, Hayden entered the inaugural Indian Premier League (IPL) auction and joined the Chennai Super Kings for 375,000 USD. Along with the likes of Michael Hussey, Murali Vijay and Suresh Raina, Hayden formed the core of an imperious top-order batting unit for CSK.
He played three seasons under the captaincy of MS Dhoni, finishing as the tournament's top run-scorer in 2009 and winning the IPL title in 2010.
What irritates MS Dhoni the most? Former CSK teammate Matthew Hayden reveals secret
In a chat with ESPNCricinfo, Hayden provided the answers to some light-hearted questions. Among them was the question, "What irritates MS Dhoni?" Hayden answered,
MS Dhoni is pretty unflappable, it must be said. But if you really want to give him the shivers, just have a slack fielding effort. You know, don't contribute in the field and that's one of the few times you look at him and go, "Ohh, that's not going to be good."
Dhoni earned the nickname 'Captain Cool' during his time in charge of the Indian team, thanks to his outwardly calm demeanour and clear thinking in pressure situations. However, he has uncharacteristically displayed emotion on the field on a few occasions and as Hayden says, those have mainly come after displays of poor fielding efforts.
