Now plying his trade in the IPL with Royal Challengers Bangalore, Watto combined with RCB teammate David Wiesse to rob Delhi Daredevils opener Shreyas Iyer of what was a certain four in the Devils run chase.

More freight train than lithe gazelle, the former Australian number three’s all-out effort from mid-on to track Iyer’s straight drive, catch the ball and – while at full sprint and without enough runway to stop before going over the boundary rope -  flicking the ball back behind him for a diving Wiesse to catch, proved his chronic hamstrings injuries are a thing of the past.
