ICC have announced Australian left-handed batsman Travis Head as the ICC Men's Player of the Month for November 2023, following some scintillating match-winning knocks from the left-handed opener.
Head was shortlisted along with his national teammate Glenn Maxwell and Indian pacer Mohammed Shami, both of whom had exceptional months themselves.

How did Travis Head perform in November 2023?
Head won back-to-back Player of the Match awards in the semi-final against South Africa and the final against India. In the semi-final, he picked a couple of wickets to plug the brakes on the South African innings, and then got the Aussies off to a flier, scoring 62 runs in just 48 deliveries.
In the final, he was responsible for dismissing Rohit Sharma after taking a backward running catch off Maxwell's bowling. Then, with Australia reeling at 47-3 in the run chase, Head kept a cool head and played a monstrous innings, scoring 137 off just 120 runs.
The South Australian thanked his teammates for their support in his journey.
It’s been an incredible 12 months for the team which it has been a real privilege to be a part of. The way we have navigated a home summer, away trips to India, England, South Africa, India and the World Cup has been great credit to Pat, the players and the staff.
I was fortunate that they kept the faith in me for the World Cup after breaking my hand, so it was a great opportunity for me to pay them back. I felt the World Cup was amongst the best I have ever batted, so maybe having a rest before every campaign is the key.
It’s a great honour to be recognised with this award, but it is a team effort. Without my team-mates across all formats this wouldn’t have happened; so these types of awards are as much for them as they are for me.
The 29-year-old will be seen in action against Pakistan at home in a three-match Test series starting on 14th December.
