The ICC ODI World Cup 2023 will begin in under a week's time now. As we are inching closer to the flagship competition, the excitement levels have reached higher. The quadrennial tournament will be hosted by India after a twelve-year-long wait. 

India will be the solitary host in this year's World Cup. The teams have arrived and the warm-up matches have begun as the players prepare to give their best at the mega event.

Who are the top-ranked batsmen from all countries?

India's Shubman Gill is second on the list of top-ranked batsmen in the ODI format. The young opener has enjoyed purple patch in 2023  and currently has a rating of 847.

Pakistan's Babar Azam sits at the top of the rankings, with 857 rating points. Babar would be crucial to Pakistan's hopes of lifting the World Cup on Indian soil. 

South African middle-order batter Rassie van der Dussen is third on the list, with 743 points. 

Australian Southpaw David Warner is ranked 6th going into the World Cup. The 36-year-old has 720 rating points.

Who are the top-ranked bowlers from all countries?

India's Mohammad Siraj gained his career-best ranking just ahead of the World Cup. The speedster had an impressive outing against Australia in the three-match ODI series.

Australia's Josh Hazlewood finds himself just behind Siraj, with Mujeeb Ur Rahman sitting third on the list. Siraj has a rating of 680 while Hazlewood and Mujeeb have ratings of 669 and 657 respectively.

Bangladesh's Shakib Al Hasan is the top-ranked all-rounder in ODI Cricket going into the World Cup.

Shakib has a rating of 349, who is followed by Mohammad Nabi (302). India's Hardik Pandya is ranked seventh on the list, while Mitchell Santner and Chris Woakes are tied in the 11th position.
