A security guard appeared to push an Australian TV reporter into a glass door at Adelaide Airport on Monday.
The reporter was trying to question South Africa captain Faf Du Plessis, who is set to face a hearing for alleged ball tampering.
Amla was unhappy in the wake of the incident, tweeting: "Disappointed..
"Such provocative behaviour from reporters. Let a man walk in peace. Ask with manners and courtesy and you will probably get a response."

South Africa batsman JP Duminy added: "Sad that this is what our tour has come to."
Du Plessis is set to face a hearing after being charged with changing the condition of the ball during the second Test in Hobart.
South Africa won the Test by an innings and 80 runs to lead the series 2-0 ahead of the third and final meeting in Adelaide starting Thursday.
