The ICC T20 World Cup 2024 is all set to get underway in the West Indies and USA from June 2, five days after the conclusion of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL). The deadline for all 20 participating teams to announce their squads is May 1, and they have been rolling out since Monday, April 29.

On Tuesday, South Africa revealed their squad for the tournament as they hunt for their first-ever major ICC trophy.

Two time SA20-winning captain Aiden Markram will be in charge of the Proteas this time around, with ODI captain Temba Bavuma not part of the squad. Anrich Nortje and Quinton de Kock, who were left out of Cricket South Africa's central contracts list, have both been included. Uncapped players Ryan Rickleton and Ottniel Baartman have also been called up after stellar domestic seasons.
