New South Wales teenage opener Sam Konstas blasted his maiden first class hundred against South Australia at Cricket Central on Tuesday.

Sam Konstas' maiden first class century
The 19-year-old struck a career-high 152 for NSW against SA in the Sheffield Sheld on October 8 - in only his fifth first-class match.
Konstas hit 13 boundaries and four sixes during his 241-ball knock, with his century coming up from 163 deliveries.
His previous highest score was 57 against Queensland in March.
“It was an amazing achievement,” Konstas said after his innings.
“Obviously it’s good to get my first one, and hopefully we’re in good stead for the next few days.”
Who is Sam Konstas?
Konstas is a 19-year-old opening batsmen, who plays for New South Wales and Australia's under 19 team.
He made his Sheffield Shield debut as an 18-year-old for NSW against Tasmania on November 28, 2023.
Konstas' highest first class score is 152 for NSW versus SA in a Sheffield Shield match in October, 2024.
He is currently contracted to Sydney Thunder in the Big Bash League but is yet to make his debut in the competition.
