Steve O'Keefe once again stole the show and Steve Smith made an astounding hundred as Australia ended a miserable run in Asia to seal a devastating 333-run win inside three days of the first Test with India.

A day after claiming a maiden five-wicket haul and Test-best figures of 6-35, O'Keefe - whose place in the five-day side has recently been called into question - once more ripped through a sorry India order.
Smith, resuming on 59, played a sublime captain's innings as his knock of 109 on a heavily spin-friendly pitch was crucial in the tourists' second-innings total of 285 that left India chasing an unlikely 441.
That set the stall for more O'Keefe heroics and the left-arm spinner had 5-33 by tea - including the wickets of Murali Vijay (2), Cheteshwar Pujara (31) and Virat Kohli (13) - before snaffling another in the final session to end the match with figures of 12-70 – the best by an Australian against India in India.
The victory ended Australia's run of 11 Tests without a win in Asia, while India had not lost a home Test match since December 2012 during a rare series defeat on home soil against England.

Smith's knock was up there with the best Test performances, especially given the unpredictable turn at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium and the quality of spinners in the Indian ranks.
While Matthew Wade (20) and Mitchell Starc went on the attack - the latter lashing three sixes and a couple of fours in a 31-ball 30 - Smith continued to show his class and neat footwork to build towards his ton.
India dropped Smith three times on Friday and the skipper punished those missed chances with aplomb, driving through the covers to bring up his first Test hundred in India, before finally a quicker one from Ravindra Jadeja (3-65) trapped him lbw.
The hosts needed something special from their own talisman in Kohli after O'Keefe had already trapped Vijay with a straight one and Nathan Lyon caught Lokesh Rahul (10) out with one outside off, with India wasting both their reviews.
But instead Kohli squared up and lost his off-stump to O'Keefe, who then teased Ajinkya Rahane (18) into a poor loft that was caught at cover by Lyon.
Ravichrandran Ashwin (8) and Wriddhiman Saha (5) quickly followed lbw and the break for tea offered only brief respite with India at 99-6.
Pujara's knock of 31 had been India's only resistance, but he fell lbw to O'Keefe, facing his first delivery after tea.
Lyon had bowled superbly as well with little reward, but he swept up the tail to finish the second innings with four wickets.
India are sure to feel the sting following another devastating collapse, but Kohli and his men have little time to lick their wounds with the second Test of the four-match series starting in Bangalore next Saturday.
