India will lock horns against New Zealand in their next match in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium in Dharamshala on Sunday.
Rohit Sharma and Co. are off to a dream start as they recorded their fourth win in a row on Thursday against Bangladesh, by seven wickets, at the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) Stadium in Pune.
Batting first, the Bangla Tigers posted a decent total of 256 on the board. The neighbours had an impressive 93-run opening partnership. Tanzid Hasan (51) and Litton Das (66) scored half-centuries.
Mahmadullah (46) and Mushfiqur Rahim (38) chipped in with valuable contributions too. Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Siraj, and Ravi Jadeja bagged two wickets each for India.
In response, the hosts built an 88-run opening stand themselves. Chase-master Virat Kohli came up with the goods yet again. He scored an unbeaten century (103) while Shubman Gill (53) scored a half-century as well.
On the other hand, New Zealand are also unbeaten in the tournament and have won all four matches. In their previous match, they beat Afghanistan by a mammoth margin of 149 runs after posting 288 on the board.
Mitchell Santner and Lockie Ferguson picked three wickets each to bundle a brittle Afghan batting line-up for just 139 runs.

India vs New Zealand: Prediction for CWC 2023 match
The pitch at Dharamsala is considered seam-friendly and likely to favour New Zealand more than India. However, India is currently in excellent form and possesses a strong bowling attack that can exploit the pitch conditions, making it challenging for the opposition.
Additionally, India's batting unit has been performing impressively in recent games, which adds to their strength. For New Zealand to have a real chance in this match, they would need to dismantle India's top and middle order. If they can achieve this, they might find success against the formidable Indian side. Otherwise, it could be a tough task facing the in-form Indian team.
