In January, with a busy home summer then still ongoing, Pat Cummins made it abundantly clear that he wanted to play as much cricket for Australia as possible ahead of a bumper 2019 winter.
Now, with Australia preparing for the crucial fourth ODI against India in Mohali on Sunday, he looks set to have his wish granted.
The 25-year-old starred on Friday as Australia sealed a 32-run win in Ranchi to keep the five-match series alive at 2-1, with India victorious in the opening two matches in Hyderabad and Nagpur.
Cummins took 3/36 in Ranchi as he and new-ball partner Jhye Richardson (3/37) rattled India's top order, with skipper Virat Kohli providing the only resistance with his 41st ODI century.

After no bowler could land the defining blow in Hyderabad, Cummins returned 4/29 in Nagpur.
The right-armer has been busy - Sunday's match in Mohali will be his sixth one-day international to go with six Tests and two T20Is since the start of the Aussie summer.
With such a busy schedule still to come - with five ODIs against Pakistan to precede the World Cup, before the Ashes series gets underway - it wouldn't have been untoward to rotate Cummins out of the XI to give him a rest.

However, with his side looking at breaking its ODI series win drought, Australia captain Aaron Finch knew he needed his star quick to play as many matches as possible.
It'll be music to Cummins' ears, with the pacer also desperate to help Australia break its Ashes drought in England.
"He's been unbelievable with the ball. All through the summer - Tests, ODIs, it doesn't matter - [Cummins] has just been doing the business," Finch said prior to Sunday's match.
"No doubt Patty has put in a lot of work, so I think going forward we will definitely have to talk about [resting him].
"But at 2-1, series on the line, I don't think so."
Australia's World Cup squad will be named on April 23, and selection boss Trevor Hohns revealed that selectors are looking at "18 or 19" names for the quadrennial tournament.
Acknowledging that "it's been a while" since Australia last won an ODI series - over two years, dating back to January 2017 against Pakistan at home - Finch was adamant Australia will look to press home their winning momentum in Mohali.
"It's in no way a chance to take the foot off the gas because we've won one game," he said.
"It's about continuing to strive forward and keep improving. It's about winning series, winning games, getting momentum, getting confidence in the group we can win tight games [and] keep getting that belief in the group."
