India vs Australia, Champions Trophy 2025: Live score updates

And that’s a wrap on our match coverage! Join us tomorrow for the blockbuster game between South Africa and New Zealand in Lahore that will decide the other finalist. That's it from our side for tonight! Goodbye!

End of match- India won by 5 wickets

India has made it to the final of the Champions Trophy by defeating the World Champions by 4 wickets!

Hardik Pandya played a powerful cameo, scoring 28 off 24 balls, including three massive sixes. KL Rahul supported him at the other end and finished the match with a six, sealing the victory for India.

End of 40 overs - India 200/4

With 65 runs needed off the last 10 overs and six wickets in hand, India holds the advantage, especially with Kohli still at the crease. Australia’s inexperienced bowling attack has fought well to keep them alive in this contest.

End of 30 overs - India 150/3

India lost Shreyas Iyer to Zampa during this phase, but King Kohli is still at the crease. The man who loves chasing has scored a vital half-century and looks set to take India home.

With Kohli still going strong, India is now the favorite to win from here, given their batting depth and Australia’s inexperienced bowling attack.

End of 20 overs - India 103/2

Kohli and Iyer have done a great job for India in this phase. Not only they build a solid partnership, but they also maintained a good scoring rate, scoring 48 runs. Australia needs quick wickets to get back into the game.

End of 10 overs - India 55/2

Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill started strongly but both departed early to bring Australia back in the game. India is in a bit of trouble. Onus on Kohli and Iyer to build a partnership.

18:30: Hello and welcome back to the chase. Gill and Rohit to open for India, while Ben Dwarshuis will open the attack for Australia.

End of innings - Australia 264 all out

Australia are bowled out for 264 runs in the final over. They have put up a better fight than New Zealand, and India now face a challenging target on the Dubai surface.

There haven't been many instances where 250 plus is successfully chased here. It will be interesting to see how Rohit Sharma and company will approach chasing this. Stay tuned!

End of 40 overs - Australia 213/6

Ben Dwarshuis 3(9)*, Alex Carey 44(40)*

Australia have again lost 2 wickets, but they have been scoring at a good rate, despite wicket losses. Once again, it has been Smith who has carried Australia in a big match. He was dismissed on 73 runs, being bowled by Shami.

Maxwell looked dangerous after hitting a six, right after coming to bat. He was dismissed the very next ball, bowled by Axar. Despite these two wicket-losses, Aussies will still be looking to push as close as 300.

End of 30 overs - Australia 158/4

Alex Carey 11(11)*, Steven Smith 62(79)*

Australia have lost 2 more wickets -- Labuschagne was lbw by Jadeja, and Inglis was caught by Kohli with Jadeja striking again. Smith has been helping Australia - ticking the scoreboard with decent run- rate. He has scored a fifty, and is poised to score big.

Looking to build partnership, Australia will be eyeing to score around 300 runs.

End of 20 overs - Australia 105/2

Marnus Labuschagne 24(31)*, Steven Smith 36(47)*

Marnus Labuschagne and Steven Smith have been handling pressure after Australia lost 2 wickets in the first powerplay. The wicket isn't spinning much -- appears to be a good batting pitch. Which is why Head appeared frustrated with himself after throwing his wicket.

Indian bowlers have slowed down the Aussies after an explosive start by Head. Will be interesting to see when the current duo switches gears and put the foot down!

End of 10 overs - Australia 63/2

After losing Connolly and Head in the first powerplay, Australia are looking to build their innings at a catious rate.

Steve Smith 20(22) and Marnus Labuschagne 2(3) are looking to stabilize their partnership. At the end of 10 overs, Australia stands at 63/2.

15:16 - WICKET! Travis Head was looking dangerous, but he has to depart after a clean catch by Shubman Gill. Varun Chakravarthy strikes. AUSTRALIA 54/2.

14:45 - WICKET! Youngster Cooper Connolly departs for a duck as Mohammad Shami strikes. First wicket to India. AUSTRALIA 4/1 after 3 overs.

14:30 - It's game time in Dubai. Mohammed Shami begins proceedings for India. Travis Head at the striker's end.

14:04 - TOSS! Steve Smith wins the toss and elects to bat first.

The toss is scheduled for 2 PM IST. The match will start at 2:30 PM IST.

All eyes will be on India, who are desperate to avenge their defeat from the ODI World Cup 2023 final in Ahmedabad.
