Pakistan were dismissed for their third lowest ODI total by New Zealand in Dunedin but it was a local builder in the crowd that stole the show.

After the Kiwis set a competitive 258 total, Pakistan crumbled from the outset reduced to 6/16 before rallying and falling for 74.

While Trent Boult was the pick of the bowlers, snaring 5/17, it was Craig Dougherty, a local builder, who walks away from the game with the most credit.

During New Zealand's innings, Martin Guptill flicked a ball of his pads which went flying into the stands with Dougherty proceeding to catch a one-handed screamer and in turn scoop himself $50,000.

Not only was the catch lucrative, it was also a redemptive one for Dougherty.

“My teammates were giving me s**t because I dropped an absolute sitter on the boundary with two hands the other week before Christmas,” he said.

“It hasn’t really sunk in yet, I still can’t believe I caught it, but it’s awesome that I did catch it.”

Check out the brilliant catch in the video player above.
