Who is the Delhi Capitals coach?
The Delhi Capitals are coached by Ricky Ponting, the former Australia captain and batting great.
This will be Ponting's sixth year with the Capitals, having first joined the team in 2018.
What is Ricky Ponting's coaching record?
Ponting took over the Delhi Capitals in 2018 - that year they finished last in the IPL. However, since then the Capitals have experienced a strong resurgence; they qualified for the finals three years in a row, making the final in 2020, which they lost to the Mumbai Indians.
Before his stint with the Capitals, Ponting coached the Mumbai Indians from 2014 to 2016, the Australia T20 team as an interim coach in 2017, and was an assistant coach for the Australia team in the Tri-Tasman series in 2017-18.
