Pat Cummins won't be able to capitalise on his man-of-the-match performance in the fourth ODI against England, with the Aussie quick ruled out of the fifth and final match due to hamstring tightness.

The paceman was the pick of the bowlers in Australia's win on Thursday but has pulled up sore and joins Aaron Finch on the sidelines.

Jhye Richardson and Andrew Tye are the two possible replacements for Cummins with a decision on who comes in to be made later today.

Despite his late scratching, medical staff have insisted Cummins' injury is minor and he'll be good to go for Australia's upcoming tour of South Africa.

England have an unassailable 3-1 series lead ahead of the final match at Optus Stadium but will be looking for a strong finish after their top order collapse last time out.
