Rain is set to affect Australia's Cricket World Cup meeting with Bangladesh in Brisbane on Saturday.
Cyclone Marcia hit Queensland on Friday, leading to the possibility of the game at the Gabba being shortened or deemed a no-result.
Brisbane's forecast for Saturday is for rain, possibly heavy, to hit - meaning Michael Clarke's return to international cricket after a hamstring injury could be delayed.
Such was the weather, Friday night's A-League clash between the Brisbane Roar and Melbourne Victory was postponed.
Clarke told media a team had been selected, but he was unwilling to name it due to it possibly changing as the number of overs were reduced due to rain.
Australia thrashed England by 111 runs in their opening game, and a no-result would be a huge blow to their chances of finishing top of Pool A.
Clarke is likely to replace George Bailey in Australia's line-up, while reports suggested Pat Cummins could come in for Josh Hazlewood.
Aaron Finch made 135 against England, while Mitch Marsh took 5-33 with the ball in the convincing win in Melbourne.
Bangladesh also opened their campaign with a win, beating Afghanistan by 105 runs.
Captain Mashrafe Mortaza said his team were frustrated by the weather in Brisbane, and believes Australia may be even more dangerous if the game is shortened.
He remembers Bangladesh's win over Australia in 2005, but said that memory was a long time ago.
"It was a good memory for us but it was a long time ago," Mortaza said on Friday.
"Any particular day if you can play good cricket you can beat anybody so we're looking to do it. We just want to make sure we play our best cricket."
Mushfiqur Rahim made 71 in the win over Afghanistan, while Mortaza took 3-20 off nine overs.
