With the singular Test finishing in a draw, the series between Australia and India will come down to three T20 clashes.
The first clash will take place on Thursday night, before back-to-back games on Saturday and Sunday, with the matches to decide the series between the two powerhouse nations.
Here are the major talking points ahead of the first T20 game with Sporting News' Melinda Farrell and Aussie star Megan Schutt.
1. Who will Australia pick as their bowling options?
There will be spots up for grabs in the Aussie outfit, with so many dangerous pace bowlers at their disposal.
Megan Schutt expects to see Tayla Vlaeminck come into the side for the first game.
“I expect to see Tay out there, I think she will be fit and firing. She will be very annoyed that she hasn’t been playing cricket the last few weeks, that’s the kind of girl she is," she said.
"My pick would be Tay, and who is joining her is the ultimate question – whether they go Darcie (Brown) or Stella (Campbell) for another out-and-out pace attack.
"For me, someone like Nicola Carey has a few overs to slot in there and has good change-ups. Then you’ve got options like Hannah Darlington, who is like me who can swing it in and do some cheeky little change-ups.
"They’ve definitely got options, and the kind of balance they go for might be pitch-dependent. It’s hard to see who they are going to play – I don’t see them playing all three of Stella, Darcy and Tay.
"We’ve also got overs up Tahlia McGrath’s sleeve, so they’ve got too many options."
2. How will Australia replacing Rachael Haynes in T20 clashes?
Australian vice-captain Rachael Haynes won't feature in the T20 games, after she was ruled out for the remainder of the series through injury.
The hosts were forced to replace her in the Test match, and Schutt said it will be even tougher in the shorter format.
“That one is always a tough decision - in T20 cricket, you are always kind of backing you’re top six and know that the bottom five are there in case," she said.
"The little balance of someone as consistent as Rach is a huge loss, so I’m not sure how they’re going to go about replacing her.
"I don’t really see them playing Annabel, because her technique is almost too perfect to play a T20 match.
"I see Nicola Carey coming back into the squad, the left-hander adds another feature.
"I imagine it will be a pretty similar line-up to the ODI team."
3. How big a factor will spin bowling be in the T20 matches?
With so many fantastic seamers at Australia's disposal, let's not forget about the importance of spin in the shortest format.
Schutt is tipping a big game from Georgia Wareham in the three T20 games, with her four overs integral in building pressure.
“I think spin will be a crucial part," Schutt said.
"I think everyone knows that we are going to come with an out-and-out pace attack, we’ve got Darcie and Tay who are two people that can take your head off and they are wicket-taking players.
"As it kind of showed in the Test, they are wicket-taking players and not so much pressure-building players, so they are there to do the work at the other end while someone else ties it down.
"I think someone like Georgia Wareham is going to play a key role – her four overs will be really important.
"If they put a little bit of spice in the wicket, I think spin will come in."
