His opening partner, Abdullah Shafique, played a fluent innings, scoring 64 off 61 balls with seven fours and two sixes, whereas, Mohammad Rizwan contributed 46 runs off 40 balls with five boundaries.
However, their skills will be tested by the Afghan spin triumvirate led by Rashid Khan.
Khan is the current leading wicket-taker for Afghanistan in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, having taken six wickets at an average of 30.83 in the competition and will trouble Pakistan in the middle overs with his variation and guile.
