Cameron Bancroft opened up on his relationship with David Warner after posting an unbeaten century in his first red-ball innings since serving a nine-month ban for his role in the ball-tampering scandal that rocked Australian cricket.
The opener hit three sixes and eight fours in reaching 138 not out from 358 balls for Western Australia, who were dismissed for 279 in their Sheffield Shield match with New South Wales.
Having been banned along with Steve Smith and David Warner in March, Bancroft featured in the Big Bash League for Perth Scorchers when his suspension finished in December.
The 26-year-old, who averaged 33.11 in 11 innings for the Scorchers, reminded Australia's selectors of his quality in the longest format in an Ashes year with his knock on Sunday.

Bancroft has appeared in eight Tests for Australia, having made his debut against England in November 2017.
In December, Bancroft had said it was Warner, vice-captain at the time, who had encouraged him to tamper with the ball during a Test with South Africa in Cape Town.
However, Bancroft insisted that he, Warner and Smith have remained supportive of each other.
"Yeah, I've spoken to Dave," he told ABC Grandstand .
"I think all of us, including Dave, have been really challenged through this period of time.
"I know that all three of us have really stuck by each other and looked after each other well.
"I guess moving forward there will be great lessons for all of us, including Dave. That's something we've all shared with each other and something I've certainly shared with Dave when we've communicated throughout this entire journey."
