Australia vs. West Indies: Day-by-day Brisbane forecast for second Test
Despite initial concerns that cyclone Kirrily would bring significant rainfall to south-east Queensland, where the Gabba is, the rainfall was mostly concentrated around the central and western parts of the state for the initial few days of the second Test.
However, on day four there is significant chance of heavy showers causing delays as Australia are set to resume their second innings on 2-60.
The Bureau of Meteorology has forecast the following conditions for each day of the Test at the Gabba:
Thursday, January 25
Max 32 with 5% of rain. Mostly sunny. Light winds becoming northeasterly 15 to 20 km/h in the early afternoon then becoming light in the late evening.
Friday, January 26
Max 32 with 20% chance of rain. Partly cloudy. Slight chance of a shower, most likely in the late morning and afternoon. Light winds becoming northerly 15 to 25 km/h in the middle of the day.
Saturday, January 27
Max 36 with 70% chance of rain (0-10mm). Partly cloudy. High chance of showers, most likely in the afternoon and evening. The chance of a thunderstorm. Light winds becoming north to northeasterly 15 to 25 km/h during the day then tending east to northeasterly during the afternoon.
Sunday, January 28
Max 32 with 80% chance of rain (27-79mm). Cloudy. The chance of a thunderstorm. Light winds becoming easterly 15 to 20 km/h during the afternoon then tending southeasterly during the evening.
Monday, January 29
Max 30 with 70% chance of rain (0-10mm). Cloudy. Medium chance of showers. The chance of a thunderstorm. Winds southeasterly 20 to 30 km/h.
