Melbourne Stars and Australian spinner Adam Zampa has been suspended for one match after an 'audible obscenity' during their loss to the Sydney Thunder.
Zampa was a bright spot for the Stars during their 75-run defeat to the Thunder, taking 3-49 as English international Alex Hales blasted the ball around Manuka Oval.
He would also provide some resistance with the bat, scoring a quickfire 23 to add some respectability to the scoreline towards the end of the match.

However, the Stars will be without their ace spinner for their clash against Hobart Hurricanes on January 2 following the 28-year-old being caught saying an 'audible obcentity' during the loss.
"Melbourne Stars player Adam Zampa has been suspended for one KFC Big Bash League match after accepting a charge for an audible obscenity during his side’s match against the Sydney Thunder on December 29," Cricket Australia said in a statement.
"Zampa was found guilty of a Level 1 offence under the Cricket Australia Code of Conduct and accepted a penalty of one suspension point and a $2500 fine.
"As a result of this sanction, Zampa will miss the Melbourne Stars’ next KFC BBL|10 match against the Hobart Hurricanes on January 2 due to suspension."
Zampa had previously incurred another 'level pne' offence against the Brisbane Heat last January for "using language, actions or gestures which could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batter" during last season's KFC BBL, with the second offence triggered a one-match ban.
It will come as a major blow to the Stars, who have failed to record a victory in their last three games.
