India's impressive performance in the 2023 Cricket World Cup continued as they outclassed Pakistan by seven wickets and 117 balls to spare at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday.
India's bowlers, led by the brilliant Jasprit Bumrah, delivered a fine performance. The pacer rattled Pakistani batsmen with his variations as he finished with figures of 19 for two in seven overs.

Mohammed Siraj went for runs but provided two important breakthroughs by dismissing Shafique and the skipper Babar Azam when he was looking good at 50.
Hardik Pandya, Kuldeep Yadav, and Ravindra Jadeja also picked up two wickets each to restrict Pakistan to just 191 in 42.5 overs.
However, it was Rohit Sharma who was the standout performer as he smashed 86 runs in just 63 deliveries. Azam lavished praise on Sharma for playing such a crucial innings which had six fours and six sixes and came down heavily on his batting unit for a collapse.
What did Babar Azam say?
"We started well, good partnership. We just planned to play normal cricket an build partnerships. Suddenly there was a collapse and we could not finish well.
"Not good for us, the way we started, our target was 280-290 but the collapse cost us. The total was not good. We are not up to the mark with the new ball. The way Rohit played, was an outstanding innings. We just tried to take wicket, but that didn't happen," he stated after the match.
