Australia welcomes the West Indies Down Under for a two-match Test series after dispatching Pakistan in a clean sweep earlier in the summer.

The Aussies will be hot favourites to continue their impressive winning streak against the Caribbean nation who haven't tasted victory on Australian soil for close to three decades.

The two sides will face off for the second successive year, with Pat Cummins' men easing to big wins in Perth and Adelaide.

Marnus Labuschagne proved almost impossible to dismiss the last time they met with the No.3 notching scores of 204, 104*, 164 and 31 on his way to scooping the player-of-the-series award.

However, it is higher up the order where the intrigue lies this time around with a host of candidates battling it out to become the side's new Test opener following David Warner's retirement.
