It's going to be a big, BIG summer - so big, that it will end in late March for the first time in over 40 years.

Australia's international summer of men's cricket will feature visiting teams from New Zealand, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

With the two-match Pakistan Test series, Australia will feature matches with ICC Test Championship points for the taking for the first time Down Under.

Kiwi fans, get ready to work off Christmas lunch - New Zealand will get the chance to play on the biggest day on the cricket calendar for the first time since 1987.

The Black Caps will take centre stage for the Boxing Day and New Year's Tests, while Pakistan will also play Test cricket in Australia for the second time in three years.

The summer will run late into March - hello, footy season - because the men's side will tour India for three ODIs in mid-January. This caused a reshuffle and pushed back the Chappell-Hadlee series.

After the Test series, New Zealand will return for the three Chappell-Hadlee ODIs on March 13, 15, and 20. The SCG will host the opening two matches, while Blundstone Arena will host the third match, Hobart's only international fixture of the summer.

Sadly for Aussie fans, with the men's team in India for the ODIs, and with the hosts celebrating Republic Day on January 26, there will be no international men's fixture on Australia Day. Hello, Big Bash.

Meanwhile, Australia will host India, England and Sri Lanka in a bumper women's summer.

The Aussie women's side will take on Sri Lanka from late September through to mid October in three T20Is and three ODIs.

Australia will then host a T20I tri-series, with India and England to travel to Aussie soil.

It will mark solid preparation for the T20 World Cup, which gets underway in Australia on February 21.
