Joe Burns and Callum Ferguson have been called up by Australia to replace the injured Shaun Marsh as captain Steve Smith comes to terms with overseeing a first defeat in a Test-series opener on home soil since 1988.

South Africa bowled out the hosts to record the landmark win by 177 runs at the WACA on Monday, despite losing key bowler Dale Steyn to a fractured shoulder on day two in Perth.
The beaten home team have injury worries of their own to contend with, Australia losing opener Marsh to a recurrence of a recent broken finger.
Burns and Ferguson, the latter uncapped at Test level but with 30 one-day international appearances to his name, have been added to the squad ahead of the second Test, which starts in Hobart on Saturday.
Australia had started promisingly enough in Western Australia, bowling out the Proteas for 242, but could manage only 244 in reply having been 158-0.
Centuries from Dean Elgar (127) and JP Duminy (141) then steered South Africa to what proved to be an insurmountable second-innings total of 540.
"We're disappointed," Smith said during the post-match presentation.
"After the first day we were in a reasonable position and we weren't able to capitalise and we couldn't claw our way back.
"Credit to Duminy and Elgar, that partnership really took the game away from us and it was hard to come back from that.
"We've had a few collapses of late in Test cricket that have let us down when we've been in positions to drive the game. It's something we have to look at and improve on.
"We have to try and let go of this performance and come out in Hobart and turn it around. We need to play a bit better cricket against a quality South Africa team if we want to do that.
"I'm sure this is going to be a great series and we've got to turn it around quickly."
