The Brooklyn Nets have signed Australian forward Mitch Creek to a 10-day contract.

Creek has been playing for the G-League's Long Island Nets and has started 20 of 25 games, averaging 14.4 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. He's been a standout performer over the last month for Long Island, playing hard on both ends of the floor.

The 6'5" Victorian native appeared in one preseason game for the Nets earlier this season before being waived prior to the start of the regular season.

The 26-year old spent eight seasons in the NBL for the Adelaide 36ers, earning All-NBL Second Team honours in 2018. Creek was named club MVP last season and helped lead the 36ers to the NBL Grand Final, their first appearance since making it to the Grand Final in the 2013-14 season.

Creek is expected to be in uniform for Brooklyn's next game against the New York Knicks on Saturday morning (Australian time).
