Deep into the 12th round, Tyson Fury had already shocked the world.

He was far deeper in the fight than anyone reasonably thought he’d go.

And then the inevitable ending came. A devastating left hook laid the Englishman out, as Deontay Wilder danced off, ready to have the WBC title strap put around his waist.

Except Fury wasn’t done. Rising off the canvas like a bloated Brad Pitt in Snatch, Fury beat the count, got up and held on to claim a 115-111 (Wilder), 114-110 (Fury) and 113-113 draw.

Wilder retains his strap.

Most experts, including the Showtime and BT Sports judges, had the fight convincingly to Fury.

The real winners were the viewers, who saw an all-time classic heavyweight stoush.

(And Undertaker fans, who went ballistic with gifs of the WWE legend).
