Riyadh Season makes its way to California as Terence Crawford steps up to 154-pounds to take on Israil Madrimov for the WBA super welterweight title, with the interim WBO championship also at stake.

Crawford (40-0) last fought a year ago, defeating Errol Spence Jr. in a dominant performance to secure the undisputed welterweight championship.

The 36-year-old is a three-division titleholder, and before pursuing a bout with Canelo Alvarez, “Bud” aims to add more honours to his collection.

Madrimov (10-0-1), 29, has swiftly ascended in the boxing world since turning professional in 2018, securing seven of his victories by knockout.

The Uzbek fighter claimed the WBA super welterweight title after stopping Magomed Kurbanov in their bout after five rounds in March.
