Popular Aussie boxer Skye Nicolson will fight for a maiden world title when she takes on Sabrina Maribel Perez in Mexico next month.
Perez's interim WBC featherweight title will be on the line when the pair clash in Tijuana on September 15 (Sep. 16 in Australia).
Nicolson, who is 7-0 as a professional, will be facing her toughest challenge yet in the form of the Argentine Perez, whose record sits at 18-1-1.

The fight will feature on the undercard to the all-Mexican lightweight clash between Angel Fierro vs. Brayan Zamarripa.
Perez currently holds the interim title with the WBC at 126-pounds, with superstar Amanda Serrano the current undisputed champion.
Nicolson has been angling for a shot at the Puerto Rican for some time and a win over Perez will put her in the frame for a blockbuster bout with the division's top dog.
The 27-year-old Queenslander, who now lives and trains in the UK, had been considering putting her professional career on hold in a bid for Olympic gold in Paris next year but opted against that route.
Nicolson made a busy start to life as a professional following a heart-breaking quarter-final defeat in Tokyo.
The talented southpaw recorded five victories in 2022, fighting in four different countries and winning her fans with her slick style.
All-time great Roy Jones Jr. even got in touch with Nicolson after fans drew comparisons between their styles.
In a recent video on her social media channels, Nicolson said she was two fights away from a potential shot at the undisputed title.
Fingers crossed she can join Ebanie Bridges in the ranks of current Australian female world champions.
