Attempting to unify the minimumweight division, Seniesa Estrada looks to dispose of yet another mandatory challenger. “Super Bad” defends her WBA, WBC, and Ring titles against Leonela Yudica on July 28.
On the eve of Errol Spence Jr. vs. Terence Crawford, Estrada vs. Yudica takes place at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. The 10-round bout, plus undercard action, will air on ESPN+ in the U.S.
Turning pro in 2011, Estrada won the WBA minimumweight title against Anabel Ortiz in 2021. In her last bout in March, Estrada beat Tina Rupprecht to win the WBC and Ring titles. Wearing a cape to the ring like a true superhero, Estrada looks to inspire the future generation of women’s boxing.
“She has shown that little girls from East LA can actually become someone,” Estrada's father, Joe, told the LA Times Today. “She has so many little girls who show up at her fights with capes on. They are cheering her on. So that makes me happy. And they have someone to look up to, but she didn’t.”
