What time is Richardson Hitchins vs. Jose Zepeda today? Schedule, main card start time for 2023 boxing fight image

While not looking past his upcoming fight, Richardson Hitchins is confident in his abilities. To move to the next phase of his blossoming career, he must get past veteran Jose Zepeda on September 23.

Hitchins vs. Zepeda airs on DAZN in the U.S. and is inside the Caribe Royale in Orlando.

Born in Brooklyn, Hitchens represented Haiti in the 2016 Olympics. The 25-year-old turned pro in 2017 and has already impressed boxing fans. He caught the eye of Matchroom Boxing chief Eddie Hearn, who picked him up when he was a free agent after an early career tie-up with Mayweather Promotions.

Undefeated, Hitchins has a chip on his shoulder and is waiting for the ultimate dream match of his.

“Me and Devin Haney,” Hitchins said on Instagram Live via Boxing Scene. “That’s the fight. Me and Devin is the fight at 140. Get the check right, get the date and I’m pulling up.”

Haney is reportedly poised to fight Regis Prograis in December, the same man Zepeda faced in 2022. A loss against the now-WBC super lightweight champion ended a six-fight win streak and it was a third world title disappointment for Zepeda. The 34-year-old won't be backed into a corner and feels ready to return to the top by ending Hitchins' momentum.
