Nikita Tszyu has stamped his credentials as one of Australia's best at super welterweight, stopping Dylan Biggs in the fifth round of a barnburner in Newcastle on Wednesday night.

He didn't have it all his own way, hitting the canvas in the opening moments of the fight but rallied strongly to get the stoppage, courtesy of a brutal barrage which included an uppercut and some nasty body work.

In a dramatic card which featured a couple of knockout of the year contenders, Issac Hardman also claimed a round five stoppage victory of his own over Englishman Troy Coleman in the chief support.
