Australia's Liam Paro will challenge WBC super-lightweight champion Regis Prograis for the world title in New Orleans on June 17 (June 18 in Australia).
The news was confirmed on Sunday during the broadcast for the undisputed super-middleweight bout between Canelo Alvarez and John Ryder.
Prograis, 34, announced he was signing with promoter Matchroom and he'll be facing Paro in his native Louisiana.

It's a significant step up for Paro who has been poised for a title shot for several years.
The 27-year-old southpaw from Mackay in Queensland knocked Brock Jarvis out in the first round his last appearance back in October.
Paro, 23-0, was due to face Robbie Davies Jnr in Liverpool in February but a facial fracture ruled him out.
He was then lined up to face Arnold Barboza in a title eliminator but Barboza pulled out after Paro's promoter, Matchroom, won the purse bid over Top Rank.
Matchroom, headed up by Eddie Hearn, has a host of world's best 140-pounders on their books and, upon signing Prograis, has opted for Paro to be the one to welcome him to the stable.

Prograis, also a southpaw, boasts a formidable 28-1 record, having only lost a majority decision to former undisputed super-lightweight champion Josh Taylor.
"Rougarou" reclaimed the WBC title when he stopped Jose Zepeda in the 11th round back in November.
The announcement of Prograis vs. Paro came as another Australian super-lightweight, Stevie Spark, featured on the Canelo vs. Ryder undercard.
Spark dropped a contentious split decision to hometown favourite Gabriel Gollaz Valenzeula.
The Aussie was dropped by a body shot in the sixth round but controlled the majority of the bout and landed the more significant shots.
