Jake Paul will still fight Mike Tyson in November. However, “The Problem Child” is ready to fight this summer. Paul will fight MMA and bare-knuckle fighter Mike Perry in Tampa, Florida.
Paul is 9-1 in the boxing ring, with several wins against former MMA fighters. After beating two straight legitimate boxers to not much fanfare, Paul was supposed to face Mike Tyson in July. Tyson suffered an ulcer flare-up before the fight, and it got moved to November. The YouTuber wanted to stay busy and has challenged Perry, a true wild card.
“When Paul vs. Tyson was rescheduled, I knew immediately that I wanted to still fight on Saturday, July 20. Now, as I prepare for my fight against Iron Mike, there’s no better opponent for me than Mike Perry,” Paul. “He’s a proven knockout artist who has shown to be a maniac in and out of the ring. This is the perfect experience for me to gain in advance of facing Mike Tyson. But getting that experience comes with risk.
“Those who know me know I’m a risk taker, and while ‘Platinum’ Perry might try to end me, I’m Titanium Jake Paul, and I fear no man. I’m going to get the W and give everyone a preview of what I’m bringing to the ring against Mike Tyson.”

Perry turned pro in MMA in 2014. "Platinum" joined the UFC in 2016, going 7-8 with the promotion, with one of his most notable moments being having his partner in his corner. A controversial figure outside fighting, Perry found a home with Bare Knuckle FC. He is 5-0 in the sport, winning three straight via TKO. The Paul fight will be his second pro boxing fight.
“Jake Paul claims he fears no man, but on Saturday, July 20, the world will see the truth: he just made the worst mistake of his life in trying to get through me before Iron Mike,” Perry. “I’m going to make it look easy on Saturday, July 20th, and I’m going to teach Jake Paul the most he’s ever learned about fighting.”

The fact is every opponent has touched the floor
5 months until Tyson and I go to war
So in the meantime me & Perry are going to make Tampa roar
I fear no man, anytime, anywhere, anyplace
On July 20th it’s going to be another W, so let us say… pic.twitter.com/SIu6K0VbD5
Also on the card, before she fights Katie Taylor in November for undisputed super lightweight gold, unified featherweight champion Amanda Serrano faces Stevie Morgan at super lightweight. Serrano (46-2-1), who had to cancel a fight against Nina Meinke on fight night in March, has won four straight since losing against Taylor in 2022's Fight of the Year. A Golden Gloves Champion, Morgan (14-1) is on a six-fight win streak, with all those wins coming via knockout.
“I’ve already been preparing for a fight on Saturday, July 20, and even though I’ll now be waiting a little longer for my rematch with Katie Taylor, this is an opportunity for me to face another tough boxer in Stevie Morgan in Tampa,” Serrano said. “My opponent has 13 KOs, more than almost every other active female boxer, but I fear no woman – I embrace the war."
