Australian boxing champion Skye Nicolson will enter the ring once again this weekend, this time to defend her title against Dyana Vargas. 

Nicolson, who at one point was considering staying amateur to compete in this month's Paris Olympics, has shown in 2024 that she made the right call, as she is set to defend her WBC featherweight title for the first time. 

But she will be up against a tough challenger in Vargas, a 32-year-old holding a 19-1 record and riding a three-fight win streak.
