NBL Finals schedule and scores: Melbourne United vs Tasmania JackJumpers 2024 series results image

The race to the NBL championship is nearly complete, with just two contenders left vying for the title.

In one corner is Melbourne United, the team that has been the league's high-water mark for the entire season, finishing in top spot with 20 wins and not losing two in a row the entire season.

Up against them is the Tasmania JackJumpers, a team who started the season on shaky footing, but came home strong in a massive way, including knocking out second-ranked team Perth and MVP Bryce Cotton en route to the finals.

Can the NBL's newest franchise break through and claim their first championship, or will Melbourne add another jewel to their crown?

Game 2: JackJumpers come from behind to level series

The JackJumpers have guaranteed the Finals will return to Tasmania for a fourth game with an impressive comeback on Friday night.

The visitors went on an 11-0 run to start the second half, expanding their lead to 15 points.

Even with Will Magnay on a precarious four fouls, the JackJumpers calmly worked their way back into the game before ultimately claiming a five-point win.

Jack McVeigh was the star performer for the home team, scoring 16 points, grabbing eight rebounds and contributing with four assists.

Game 1: Goulding shines in United blowout

It was an easy start to the NBL finals for Melbourne United, as they took care of business at home to the tune of 23 points.

Chris Goulding led the way for his squad, scoring 22 points and hitting 10 three-pointers, which saw him inch closer to the all-time single-season three-pointer record.

The JackJumpers top scorer was Anthony Drmic, with 18, in what was a slow night for the team's traditional big three of Milton Doyle, Jordan Crawford, and Jack McVeigh, who all combined for 36 points.
