The 2023-24 NBL season is right around the corner, with the Sydney Kings hoping to be the first team to win three straight since the New Zealand Breakers in 2011-12-13. 

But before this, all attention turns to free agency, to see just how different each team looks come the opening tip. 

Sporting News is tracking all the off-season movements of every NBL team, including all new arrivals, departures, and re-signings, updated regularly as changes are confirmed.

28/07 - Tray Kell III has signed a one-year deal with the Adelaide 36ers as an import. Kell suited up for the South East Melbourne Phoenix during the 2022-23 NBL season, averaging 12.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game. 

28/07 - Jamaal Franklin has signed a one-year deal with the Adelaide 36ers as an import. Franklin most recently played for Philippines team Converge FiberXers.

27/07 - Antonius Cleveland has been released from the Adelaide 36ers, with the two-time NBL Best Defender set to join Maccabi Tel Aviv. 

26/07Parker Jackson-Cartwright has signed a one-year deal with the New Zealand Breakers as an import. He most recently played for Turkish team Beşiktaş, where he averaged 17.9 points, 4 rebounds, and 7.7 assists per game.

26/07 - Rob Loe has ended his brief retirement, signing with Melbourne United as a nominated replacement player for the 2023-24 NBL season. 

26/07 - Gary Browne has re-signed with the South East Melbourne Phoenix for one year as an import. Browne averaged 12.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 6.5 assists per game during the previous NBL season.

25/07 - Justinian Jessup has signed a one-year deal with the New Zealand Breakers as an import. A former NBL Next Star, Jessup most recently played for Zaragoza in the Spanish league, averaging 11.6 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game.

23/07 - Denzel Valentine has signed a one-year deal with the Sydney Kings as an import. Valentine most recently played for NBA G-League team Maine Celtics, averaging 13.7 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 6.0 assists per game. 

19/07 - Sam Timmins has signed a one-year deal with the Sydney Kings. Timmins played the last two seasons for the New Zealand Breakers, averaging 1.4 points, 0.8 rebounds, and 0.2 assists per game during the 2022-23 season. 

17/07 - Robert Franks is departing the Adelaide 36ers, signing a deal with Japanese team Nagoya Diamond Dolphins. 

14/07 - Sharpshooter Chris Smith has signed a deal with the Brisbane Bullets, per ESPN. He last played in Japan's second division, shooting 43.7 per cent from deep.

12/07 - Ryan Broekhoff has retired from professional basketball, choosing to focus on his family. Broekhoff spent time in the NBA with the Dallas Mavericks, before spending the last three years with the South East Melbourne Phoenix.  

12/07 - Jaylen Adams has signed a one-year deal with the Sydney Kings as an import. Adams rejoins the team he won NBL MVP with during the 2021-22 season, after brief stints with Serbian team KK Crvena Zvezda and Chinese team Qingdao Eagles.

09/07 - Gabe Hadley has signed a one-year deal with the Brisbane Bullets. Hadley currently plays for Geelong United in the NBL1, averaging 23.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game. 

08/07 - Luca Yates has signed a three-year deal with the Illawarra Hawks as a Development Player. Yates currently plays for the Townsville Heat in the NBL1, averaging 4.8 points and 9.5 rebounds per game.

08/07 - Lachlan Anderson has signed a two-year deal with the Cairns Taipans. Anderson is currently playing for the Cairns Marlins in the NBL1, averaging 19.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game.

07/07 - Rocco Zikarsky has signed a two-year deal with the Brisbane Bullets as a Next Star. Zikarsky is touted as the next elite basketball prospect, and averaged 13.6 points, 9.3 rebounds and 3.1 blocks at the 2022 U17 FIBA World Cup. 

06/07 - Kyle Adnam is leaving the South East Melbourne Phoenix, signing a deal with Romanian club Sibiu who play in the Liga Nationala. Adnam was the Phoenix's inaugural captain, playing for the team during their first four seasons. 

06/07 - Jacob Wiley has signed a two-year deal with the Adelaide 36ers as an import. Wiley spent the 2022-23 season in the Japanese league with the Shiga Lakestars, averaging 7.9 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 2 assists per game. 

04/07 - The Adelaide 36ers have announced the signing of three new Development Players: Akech Aliir, Harvey White, and Fraser Roxburgh, off the back of their team's trial days.

29/06 - Dejan Vasiljevic is exercising his NBA/Europe out in his contract, ending his current tenure with the Sydney Kings. Vasiljeivc spent the last three seasons with the Sydney Kings, and was a key piece of back-to-back championships. 

28/06 - Majok Deng has signed a one-year deal with the Tasmania JackJumpers. Deng played the last four seasons with the Cairns Taipans, averaging 6.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 0.4 assists during the 2022-23 season. 

24/06 - Gary Clark has signed a one-year deal with the Illawarra Hawks as an import. Clark spent the previous season with G-League team Mexico City Capitanes, where he averaged 19 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game.

24/06 - Alex Toohey has signed with the Sydney Kings as a Next Star. The Australian prospect was committed to Gonzaga University, but de-committed to join the NBL's reigning champions.

21/06Mahmoud Abdelfattah has been announced as the new head coach of the Sydney Kings. Abdelfattah spent the last NBA season as the head-assistant coach for the Houston Rockets, and has now signed a two-year deal to become the successor of Chase Buford.

21/06 - Marcus Lee has signed a one-year deal with the Tasmania JackJumpers. Lee played the last 17 games of the 2022-23 season for Melbourne United, averaging 8.8 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game. 

20/06Zylan Cheatham has signed a one-year deal with the New Zealand Breakers. Cheatham most played for G-League team the Birmingham Squadron during the 2022-23 season, averaging 13.9 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 3.1 assists, before joining German team Bayern Munich to close their season out. 

20/06 - The Tasmania JackJumpers have agreed to a deal with Jordon Crawford, per ESPN. The 5'6" point guard last played in Turkey for Büyükçekmece.

19/06 - Jonah Bolden has signed a one-year deal with the Sydney Kings. Bolden most recently played basketball in the NBA during the 2019-20 season, averaging 2 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 0.7 blocks for the Phoenix Suns, before briefly retiring.

16/06 - Patrick Miller has signed a one-year deal with the Cairns Taipans as an import. Miller most recently played for German team Brose Bramberg, averaging 17.7 points, 6.2 assists, and 3.1 rebounds per game during the 2022-23 season.

14/06 - Austin Rapp has signed a one-year deal with the South East Melbourne Phoenix as a Development Player. 

14/06 - Dane Pineau has signed a two-year deal with the New Zealand Breakers. Pineau spent the last four seasons with the South East Melbourne Phoenix, averaging 2.1 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 0.4 assists during the 2022-23 season. 

14/06 - Tom Vodanovich has been granted a release from his contract by the New Zealand Breakers, allowing him to join a team in the Philippines. The Breakers will have first right of refusal for Vodanovich if he opts to return to the NBL. 

13/06 - Swedish wing Bobi Klintman has informed ESPN that he has signed with the Cairns Taipans as part of the NBL Next Stars program. He is likely to spend one season in Australia before the 2024 NBA Draft.

09/06 - Mangok Mathiang has signed a one-year deal with the New Zealand Breakers. Mathiang played the 2022-23 season with the Illawarra Hawks, averaging 7.7 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 0.7 assists per game.

07/06 - Milton Doyle has signed a two-year deal with the Tasmania JackJumpers as an import. Doyle played the 2022-23 season with Tasmania, averaging 17.2 points, 5 rebounds, and 3.7 assists, being named to the All-NBL First Team.

07/06 - New Zealand Breakers' forward Rob Loe has announced his retirement from basketball. Loe played seven seasons in the NBL - six for the New Zealand Breakers - averaging 5.6 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 0.4 assists per game during his last season. 

02/06 - The Perth Wildcats have signed Jesse Wagstaff to a one-year deal. This will be Wagstaff's 15th season with the franchise, averaging 5 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game during the 2022-23 season. 

30/05 - The Tasmania JackJumpers have signed Josh Tomasi to a one-year contract extension as a Development Player. 

27/05 - The Perth Wildcats have signed Dontae Russo-Nance to a three-year deal. Russo-Nance most recently played in the NZNBL last year for the Auckland Tuatara, averaging 15.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 2.8 steals per game.

25/05 - The Sydney Kings have signed import D.J. Hogg to a two-year deal, with a mutual option for the second year. Hogg played for the Cairns Taipans during the 2022-23 season, averaging 18.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game, earning All-NBL Second Team honours.

25/05 - The Illawarra Hawks have signed Biwali Bayles as a Development Player for the 2023-24 season. Bayles last played for the Sydney Kings in 2022-23, where he averaged 1.9 points, 1.1 rebounds, and 0.8 assists per game last season. 

23/05 - The Adelaide 36ers have signed Alex Starling to a one-year deal. Starling has spent close to a decade in the NBL1, averaging 16.5 points, 13.2 rebounds, and 3 assists per game during the 2023 season.

17/05 - Australian Boomers player Matthew Dellavedova will return to the NBL this season, signing a two-year deal with Melbourne United. The 32-year-old guard last played with the Sacramento Kings in the NBA.

16/05 - The Sydney Kings have parted ways with head coach Chase Buford. Buford coached the Kings for the past two NBL seasons, winning back-to-back championships.

12/05 - Jacob Jackomas has signed a one-year extension with the Illawarra Hawks. Jackomas became the head coach of the Hawks before the 2022-23 NBL season, with his new deal taking him through to at least 2025-26.

10/05 - Tom Abercrombie has signed a one-year deal to return to the New Zealand Breakers. Abercrombie is the clubs all-time leading scorer, appearance maker, and current captain. 

09/05 - Alex Sarr has signed a one-year deal with the Perth Wildcats as a Next Star. Sarr spent the previous two years in professional youth league Overtime Elite, and is projected as a first-round pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.

05/05 - Walter Brown has signed a three-year deal to remain with the Tasmania JackJumpers as a Development Player. Brown spent the 2022-23 season with the JackJumpers, where he averaged 0.4 points and 0.3 assists per game.

04/05 - Australian high school recruit Klairus Amir has inked a three-year deal with the Sydney Kings, per Olgun Uluc.

According to reports, he will be a development player for the first two seasons of his contract.

02/05 - Ben Ayre has signed a two-year deal with the South East Melbourne Phoenix. Ayre spent the last two years with the Cairns Taipans, where he averaged 5.8 points, 1 rebound, and 1.4 assists per game during the 2022-23 season.

02/05 - Junior Madut has signed a two-year deal with the Tasmania JackJumpers. Madut spent the previous year with the South East Melbourne Phoenix, where he averaged 4 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 0.8 assists per game.

01/05 - Keanu Rasmussen has signed a one-year deal with the Adelaide 36ers as a Development Player. Rasmussen spent the last two years at California Baptist University in the NCAA, and is currently playing in the NBL1 with the Sturt Sabres, averaging 18.4 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.

29/04 - Taran Armstrong has signed a two-year deal with the Cairns Taipans. Armstrong played the last two years at California Baptist University in the NCAA, averaging 11.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game during his final season.

28/04 - The Brisbane Bullets have signed experienced guard Shannon Scott to a two-year deal. The 30-year-old averaged 10.3 points and 5.4 assists per game with the Cairns Taipans last season.

26/04 - Hyrum Harris has signed a two-year deal with the Perth Wildcats. Harris spent the last two seasons with the Adelaide 36ers, averaging 3.2 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 0.7 assists during the 2022-23 season.

24/04 - Rhys Vague has signed a two-year deal with the South East Melbourne Phoenix. Vague spent the last three seasons playing for the Kagawa Five Arrows in Japan's B.League, averaging 12.9 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game during the 2022-23 season. 

24/04 - Brad Newley has signed a one-year deal to remain with Melbourne United. Newley averaged 4.6 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 0.9 assists during the 2022-23 season.

22/04 - Isaac Humphries has agreed to a one-year deal with the Adelaide 36ers, per Olgun Oluc. The 7-foot forward last played for Melbourne United.

21/04 - Brothers Tai Webster and Corey Webster have inked fresh two-year contracts to remain with the Perth Wildcats.

20/04 - Melbourne United have signed Kyle Bowen to a two-year deal. The forward last played basketball for Saint Mary's in the U.S. college system.

19/04 - New Zealand Breakers' Next Star Rayan Rupert has officially declared for the 2023 NBA Draft. Rupert averaged 5.9 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 0.9 assists per game for New Zealand during the 2022-23 season.

19/04 - Melbourne United have extended the contract of their head coach Dean Vickerman. The four-year deal will keep him at the club until the end of the NBL28 season.

17/04 - Todd Blanchfield has signed a two-year deal with the Illawarra Hawks. Blanchfield spent the last three years with the Perth Wildcats, averaging 4.4 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 0.9 assists per game during the 2022-23 season.

17/04 - Luke Travers has signed a three-year deal with Melbourne United. Travers spent the last three years with the Perth Wildcats, averaging 9.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game during the 2022-23 season..

17/04 - After a couple of seasons in Tasmania, Matt Kenyon has moved to South East Melbourne Phoenix on a two-year deal.

17/04 - Former Adelaide 36ers forward Anthony Drmic has signed on with the Tasmania JackJumpers on a one-year contract.

16/04 - Veteran guard Mitch Norton has inked a two-year deal with the Brisbane Bullets, per Olgun Uluc. The 30-year-old last played for the Perth Wildcats.

14/04 - Ben Henshall has signed a two-year contract with the Perth Wildcats. Henshall impressed at the U20 Nationals, leading WA to a championship and taking home MVP honours with averages of 19.4 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 6.4 assists per game. 

14/04 - Mitch Norton and Todd Blanchfield have parted ways with the Perth Wildcats, becoming free agents. 

14/04 - AJ Johnson has signed with the Illawarra Hawks as a Next Star. Johnson is a projected lottery pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, and was initially committed to the University of Texas, before opting to join the NBL.

12/04 - Makuach Maluach has signed a two-year deal with the Sydney Kings. Maluach spent the 2022-23 season with Melbourne United, where he averaged 2.7 points, 0.7 rebounds, and 0.2 assists.

11/04 - Tanner Krebs has signed a three-year deal with Melbourne United. Krebs spent the last three years with the Brisbane Bullets, averaging 8.3 points, 3 rebounds, and 1.1 assists during the 2022-23 season. 

11/04 - Jo Lual-Acuil Jr. has signed a two-year deal with Melbourne United. The former NBL Best Sixth Man most recently played for the Nanjing Tongxi Monkey Kings in China's CBA, averaging 18.3 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 1.8 assists during the 2022-23 season.

05/04 - Mason Peatling has signed a two-year deal with the Illawarra Hawks. Peatling spent the last three years with Melbourne United, averaging 5.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game in 2022-23.

03/04 - David Okwera has signed a three-year deal with the Perth Wildcats - the third year being a mutual option. Okwera has spent the last two years with Melbourne United, averaging 4.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 0.9 assists per game in 2022-23.

01/04 - ESPN's Olgun Uluc has reported that Josh Bannan will sign a three-year deal with the Brisbane Bullets. The Australian forward last played in college for the Montana Grizzlies.

01/04 - Keanu Pinder has agreed to a two-year deal with the Perth Wildcats. The two-time Most Improved Player last played in the NBL for the Cairns Taipans.

31/03 - Ariel Hukporti will return to Melbourne United as a Next Star. Hukporti missed the entire 2022-23 season with an Achilles injury. 

31/03 - Lachlan Olbrich has signed a three-year deal with the Illawarra Hawks. Olbrich most recently played in the NCAA in 2022-23, where he averaged 11.4 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 1.4 assists for the UC Riverside Highlanders. 

31/03 - Sam McDaniel has signed a two-year deal with the Brisbane Bullets. McDaniel spent the 2022-23 season with the Tasmania JackJumpers, where he averaged 4.2 points, 2 rebounds, and 0.4 assists. 

31/03 - Isaac White has signed a two-year deal with the Brisbane Bullets - the second year being a team option. White spent the 2022-23 season with the Tasmania JackJumpers, where he averaged 5.3 points, 2 rebounds, and 0.6 assists. 

30/03 - Flynn Cameron has signed a three-year deal with Melbourne United - the third year including a mutual buyout option. Cameron most recently played in the NCAA in 2022-23, where he averaged 13.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 3.5 assists for the UC Riverside Highlanders.

30/03 - Luke Travers has advised the Perth Wildcats that he will not be returning to the team, and will explore his options as a free agent.

29/03 - Harry Morris has signed a one-year deal to remain with the Illawarra Hawks as a DP.
