Every single Collingwood player got to Travis Varcoe after the forward kicked a stunning goal in the first quarter of his side's qualifying final against West Coast at Optus Stadium on Saturday night.
Varcoe lined up for the Magpies just a week after the tragic passing of his sister Maggie.
He, along with every player in the first week of finals, was wearing two black armbands in tribute of his sister as well as Leo Sloane, the son of Adelaide star Rory and his wife Belinda.
It was speculated that Varcoe might miss Saturday night's blockbuster but the 30-year-old told coach Nathan Buckley he was right to go.

After a hot start by the Eagles thanks to two goals to Liam Ryan and one to Nathan Vardy, Varcoe got his side on the board with beautiful drop punt on the run from the point of the boundary and 50-metre arc.
