Richmond and Sydney Stack just keep rubbing it in.

The Tigers youngster was overlooked in both the national and rookie drafts, eventually being picked up in the pre-season supplemental selection period.

Since his debut in round three, every week the Western Australian has given recruiters around the country reasons to lament their decisions.

It was St Kilda's turn to get a close-up view of Stack this week, with the rookie being swung forward for a change with great effect.

Stack finished with four goals and one massive hanger to add to his fast-growing highlight reel.

With the Saints having booted the first three goals of the game, Richmond needed a spark and the first-year player was all too happy to oblige.

Stack got on the end of long Tom Lynch kick, courtesy of a nice ride on the back of Hunter Clark.

The young gun was good enough to go back and kick Richmond's first goal of the game, kickstarting his side as they eventually run out 33-point winners.

Stack provided another highlight in the second term with this finish after some neat footwork.

While Carlton's Sam Walsh looked to have the Rising Star all but wrapped up early in the season, Stack now leads the charge of a host of young players staking their claims for the award.

Former Port Adelaide tagger Kane Cornes even went as far as to say Stack could be "the biggest steal in draft history."
